Life Coaching

What is Coaching?

Coaching is about self-reliance and personal responsibility. It’s about taking action, contributing, and making an impact. At its core, coaching is about helping people tap into existing strengths and talents. My clients have the answers already – my job is to engage them in a dialogue that brings those answers to the surface.

By working in a completely confidential setting, coaching breaks down barriers to success and challenges individuals to reach new levels of achievement, satisfaction and balance in life.

Personal coaching is not counseling. The coach focuses on helping move you forward from where you currently are rather than spending a great deal of time exploring your past. Personal coaching is also not advice giving. Although the coach can occasionally make suggestions or requests, they don’t tell you what you have to do. You’ll work with the coach to brainstorm strategies, come up with ideas and set goals for yourself because you know best! The coach will be there as a guide, to offer support and help keep you focused and motivated.

How does it Work?

Once you’ve made the decision to go ahead with coaching, the meeting can be done via phone, Skype or meet with you at a convenient time. Coaching sessions are either 45 min or an hour in length and throughout the sessions I will help you uncover issues, misbelief’s, dreams and goals. I will then help you move step by step towards the life you want often through weekly tasks.

What Should I Expect?

Expect change. The definition of insanity is to continue doing the same thing but expecting a different result so if you’re a little dissatisfied with your life or a lot, you’ll need to expect things to change. Expect to be challenged. Having a coach will mean you have someone to keep you on track and accountable and to stop you making excuses so expect to achieve what you desire very quickly.

Most of all, expect to be happier, more fulfilled, to learn about yourself and to grow as a person. If you are living your life without passion, purpose or fun you will never be at your happiest. Through coaching you will understand yourself better, be more self-aware and much more empowered.

What did Vibeke do which worked particularly well for you ?  When I came up with ideas that she knew, because of her professional expertise, were likely to be harmful to me she asked if she could comment – her timing was appropriate as were the comments made and questions asked.
